Castrol HD Lithium EP 0 is a smooth, dark brown lithium 12-hydroxy stearate EP grease. Castrol HD Lithium EP 0 is rust inhibited and has good water resistance and long storage life. The base oils utilized in Castrol HD Lithium EP 0 coupled with an oxidation inhibitor and EP additives, enable the grease to withstand continuous heavy loads and shock loads.
Castrol HD Lithium EP 0 Grease is intended for service where an NLGI 00 grade lithium grease is required, including some automatic grease systems. HD Lithium EP 0 Grease is designed primarily to replace heavy viscosity gear oil in gear cases subject to excessive leakage in underground mining machinery. It offers an economically attractive alternative while reducing gear lubricant consumption from leaking gear cases without costly machine downtime for mechanical repair of worn seals.
